In October the trees are in full blossom, and the warm air of the Valley is heavy with their perfume. The area is 85 metres above sea level and has an annual rainfall of approximately 395 mm.

Temperatures in the region range from an average maximum of 21 -25° C to an average minimum of 5 - 10° C during May to October, while during November to April, temperatures range from an annual average maximum of 26 - 30° C to an average minimum of 11 - 17° C
